Due to this experience, we are familiar with HIPAA and Business Associate Agreements. We work diligently to meet the State of California’s requirements for handling electronic protected health information (ePHI).

More specifically, the HIPAA Security Rule lays out strict requirements for maintaining the confidentiality of health information. We follow these safeguards closely in all aspects of our business, from how our administration logs and processes such jobs, to the thoroughness of data wiping and even how we physically dispose of equipment.

California Recycles can also handle a variety of medical equipment, but not if it involves biohazards or hazardous waste.
